Lincoln Trail Great Streets Plan
I’d love to see an international grocery store similar to Jay International on South Grand in St. Louis. A good location would be the closed Family Dollar next to China King. Many of us have to shop in Missouri for these goods. I’d like to keep my tax dollars in my own community.
I would love to see the area developed more like a Main Street-think St. Chuck, MO or Belleville. Mom and pop businesses and restaurants that are promoted well. Street festivals that put a spotlight on the area. Right now, we are the town of chain retailers and restaurants which is not bad, it’s just not unique.

I think s a society we are missing having a space that is not home and not work! We need more of these! A coffee shop, a farmers market, a pottery painting space, art classes, yoga or spa, community theater space, maybe even a small movie…
Envision a gathering space where local vendors can sell their wares. You can get a bite to eat and socialize with friends old and new. Families can jump on the trails for a bike ride and enjoy a sweet treat afterward.
