The City of Springfield is updating its Comprehensive Plan to create a long-term vision for the community and is in the final stages of drafting the plan. Draft chapter summaries and the implementation matrix is now available for review and comment.

The comment period will close April 4th, 2025.

Past Engagement Activities

The City of Springfield is updating its Comprehensive Plan to create a long-term vision for the community. This process has included several opportunities for public engagement and feedback. Visioning engagement activities are now closed, but you can view the engagement activities and responses on the map.

Activities included:

• Mapping Activity - zoom through the map of Springfield and drop a comment on your favorite place, an idea you have, things you want to see more of, and things you want to see less of!
• Image Voting - tell us what you think about different development styles relating to housing, commercial, parks/recreation, and streetscape design!
• Short Survey - tell us your views on Springfield's strengths and weaknesses and your ideas for the future!
• Idea Wall - upload images or general comments or ideas that you want to see in Springfield and see what your fellow community members have to say
