A Comprehensive Plan is a guiding document for growth and development in a community.
Comprehensive Plans are future-oriented documents that guide growth and development within a community. Comprehensive Plans help cities make decisions about growth, development, and investments. The public can use the Comprehensive Plan as a guide to better understand the community they live in and see the strategies being employed to improve the quality of life for residents. While the plan will be comprehensive, it is not meant to be a static, unchanging document. The plan should be referenced often, reviewed annually, and updated as needed to better reflective changing community conditions.
The new Comprehensive Plan will include a summary of existing conditions in Tea today that covers population, demographics, land use, parks, utilities, growth potential, and more!
A major component of the new Comprehensive Plan is defining a vision for the future of Tea. Please complete the activities included on this website as well as attend the public workshop on April 25 to make your opinions heard!
After completing the existing conditions analysis and hearing from the public, a new Comprehensive Plan will be drafted that identifies goals and strategies the City of Tea can implement to help make decisions about future growth and development in Tea.
Help us to identify a future vision for Tea by completing two engagement activities.
1. Short Survey - tell us more about your views, experiences, and priorities for Tea.
2. Mapping Activity - show us on a map where you have ideas for Tea, what is working well, what needs improvement, and ideas for parks and recreation.
