Downtown Sioux Falls has seen significant transformational growth in the last two decades and that trend has continued exponentially in the last couple of years. As we look to the future, let’s explore the opportunities and tackle the challenges that come with growth and development in downtown and the surrounding neighborhoods.

The plan will look at the opportunities, challenges, needs, wants and preferences of the community for downtown. This will include discussion on growth and development, amenities and services, safety, transportation, mobility, connectivity, public improvements and funding.

The plan will look within the current downtown boundaries but also the synergies of adjacent neighborhoods surrounding downtown.

There will be a number of ways to be involved that include online engagement, small group discussions, future public meetings and forums, and additional community events that are held throughout the downtown area.
