Welcome to the Miller Park Master Plan Public Engagement Website!

Miller Park is a cherished part of Bloomington, rich in history and central to community life. To ensure it remains a vibrant, accessible, and welcoming space for future generations, the City of Bloomington is developing a master plan to guide its long-term improvements. This plan will focus on enhancing recreational amenities, improving accessibility, preserving natural and cultural features, and identifying opportunities for future development. Community input is essential to shaping this vision, ensuring the park reflects the needs and aspirations of those who use it most.

Thank you for your contributions during the first phase of the engagement process, through which you provided essential feedback in both in person and online format. Your feedback provided key insights and has been a driving factor in the master planning process. This process has led to the development of three preliminary concepts for Miller Park. These concepts aim to address your previous feedback and are not final.

For this second phase we are asking that you please share your thoughts on these concepts and some of the elements within them. You will see that Miller Park Zoo is not designed in any of these plans but rather its approximate future footprint is shown in yellow. This is because while the Zoo is very much a part of Miller Park, it is currently undergoing a separate master planning project. Take a few moments to participate and help create a plan that enhances the park’s role as a gathering space, a place for outdoor recreation, and a connection to nature for generations to come.
